Relatives of the people who died at Hillsborough in 1989 will be told today if
anyone will face trial over the disaster and the alleged cover-up which
followed. Prosecutors have been examining files relating to 23 suspects, after an
inquest jury decided 96 Liverpool fans had been unlawfully killed. Former Liverpool player John Aldridge says victims’ families have been determined to discover the truth about what happened.
